Welcome to Short Street Photographers,

When I take a moment from the busy pace of life, I realize how very blessed I am to be able to do what I do. People will ask me if I love my job and I must admit that I do. It is such an honor to capture moments in people's lives that are so special, and to preserve those memories for them.

Children are so amazing and change so quickly. No matter what stage they are at from those "terrible twos" to "terrific teens" and all the missing teeth in between, I love the challenge of figuring them out. Understanding what a child is thinking helps to create a portrait that can really show who they are. Their expression and personality... the fingerprint of who they are at this particular time. This is what we all want to remember about our children as they grow and mature over the years.

Gary and I have been building Short Street Photographers since 1985. My goodness, time flies! We have never really had a "business plan". Yet, we always believe we must keep our creative edge and use the gift of seeing light and composition in creating wonderful portraits. Also, the philosophy we have and share with our staff is to treat people as we would want to be treated and that maintaining the utmost ethics is paramount. I think this is why many people come back to us and refer their friends and family to us.

Some of you are new to the studio and for some I have been photographing your children and watching them grow during the past dozen years or so. I cherish the special relationship we enjoy and look forward to many more years of sharing experiences and watching each others children grow up.

To my valued customers and friends, thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity to use my talents in such a rewarding way.
